Sarah carried her
dish
washer with her,
it was the same hand
she is holding the
salmon she caught .
She heated the water
on the wood stove.
She was happy to have
a nice outdoor
convenience it had
almost no spiders.
She had a spring on the hill and the water
was piped into the kitchen.
If she ordered something from the catalog
it would arrive at the post office
in at least two months.
She had married a veteran and now
had his pension of $8.00 per month.
